Move towards the light - spiritual wellbeing.

Image
Move towards the light... been watching my mint plant do this for the last few days, each spear of mint and stem making the adjustment for survival.  It knows what it needs and responds accordingly by turning towards the light. Since then it has begun to flourish and thrive.  We can take a leaf out of nature's book. If only we looked to mother nature for more answers and to show us how to be, cohabit, heal and flourish as we are part of nature. The same natural laws apply to us for flourishing and thriving in life. http://lawsoftheuniverse.weebly.com/12-immutable-universal-laws.html

Emotional well-being - Rising above adversity like the lotus flower...

Image
Emotional well-being  -  Rising above adversity like the lotus flower... A few months back while on holiday and retreat in Bali, I woke up just before dawn while staying at the Ubud eco village and meditated next to the muddy pond awaiting the opening of the lotus flower. This flower resonates deeply! No mud no lotus...  Lotus flowers have strong symbolic ties to survivors. The lotus flower grows out of mud. Yet, it rises above the surface clean, blooms with remarkable beauty, and its beauty remains untouched by the mud. The flower clos es and sinks underwater at night, but it rises and opens again at dawn. Lotus flowers have strong symbolic ties to survivors. They start as small flowers down at the very bottom of a pond and then slowly grow and rise towards the surface, continually moving towards the light. Once the lotus flower has reached the surface of the water, it begins to blossom and turns into a magnificent flower. "The lotus flower is a symb...

Move towards the light - spiritual well-being.  I've been watching my mint plant do this for the last few days, it moved towards the light.  Each spear of mint and stem making the adjustment for survival. It knows what it needs and responds accordingly by turning towards the light. Since then it has begun to flourish and thrive. We can take a leaf out of nature's book.  Nature can be a great teacher and show us how to be, cohabit, heal and flourish as we are part of nature. The same natural laws apply to us  for flourishing and thriving in life, we must move towards light spiritually, emotionally, mentally, socially and physically. Judgmental or discerning - social well-being

Image
There is difference between being judgmental and being discerning. The face when I hear people being ignorantly judgmental... There is a difference between being discerning and being judgmental. Being judgmental comes from a place of negativity, insecurity, weakness, low sense of self and unfair and ignorant bias. Developing spatial, social and emotional intelligence goes a long way.  A person who learns to be both discerning and non-judgmental will experience tremendous freedom and authentic connection to self and others. Having sound judgment throug h practical wisdom and intelligent discernment is very different to being judgmental! But then you would be a Supreme court judge... "Understanding trauma and that we each respond to it differently will help us be supportive and nonjudgmental toward each other" -- Stephanie_S_Covington Who are we/you to judge... Rather, we should try understand for better social well-being. Personally I never trust people that openly clai...

The eccentric & free spirit 'hybrid…' Bizarre excellence! “We walk amongst you every day, some may love us some may despise us… ” Have you ever felt like you were born in the wrong era in the wrong place and perhaps at the wrong time?   Surrounded by people who just don’t see and feel what you see in the world around you? Has your open mind and free thinking landed you in some hot water with the more conventional and   conservative thinkers? Are people telling you “No, we don’t do it like that” or “Stop trying to be something that you are not!”? Are you the kind of person who is considered the oddball by mainstream folk because of your diverse interests and how you go about engaging and connecting with life in general?   Are you creative beyond imagination, with a quirky eclectic sense of style? Do you see the world in technicolor, have diverse interests, and dance to the music in your head. Do you have all your fi...
